Operating since 1991, The Grooves Dance Band is a premium 5-to-10 piece ensemble available for hire across the Texas Hill Country. The Grooves award winning wedding band started performing for weddings back in 1991 and have been perfecting their performance and wedding song list to custom tailor it to the diverse ages at wedding receptions. Their classy dinner set with songs from Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Etta James, Patsy Cline as well current favorites such as Nora Jones, Michael Buble, Jason Mraz and others has been touted as the best set in town for cocktail hours, dinner or for any event where you want that extra touch of class at a lower volume. Often times the band will start out with the classic music during the dinner set and then when the dance set starts, the band goes into 60’s 70’s and 80’s with some current as well. The very diverse song catalog they play during this set is geared to be enjoyed by all ages including the older folks that often are still there during the second set. Later on in the night, at most weddings, it’s mostly lots of young people so current dance music is the norm during that time. Once again, the band picks songs based on crowd response so depending on the crowd, the genres of music played during the second and last set might be totally different. This is the only way to ensure that the energy of the party stays rocking during the whole night. Most wedding bands just pick forty songs and play them no matter how the crowd is reacting but the Grooves band plays custom sets based on your crowd’s response.
