The Grooves Houston Wedding band specialize in wedding receptions in Houston and across Texas and will have your wedding guests talking about the reception for months to come! We emcee all activities at the wedding reception including announcing of the newlywed couple, all toasts, bouquet and garter toss, and any special activities throughout the night. If all guests will be eating dinner during our first set, we perform a nice mellow combination of Sinatra, light Motown, country, and standards that guests can dance to if they like, but not so loud so that they can't converse comfortably. Our Houston wedding band performs over four hours, which consists of three one hour sets with two thirty minute breaks during which you will be doing various wedding activities (cut cake, toasts, etc.). We play wedding dance music on our breaks , to keep the energy up and everyone on their feet on the dance floor. There are170 songs in our reportoire that we can play, changing styles throughout the night to match the taste of whatever crowd we're performing for which is key in keeping the dance floor packed and guests having fun. Most Houston wedding bands just pick 40 songs to play and don't worry about what particular tastes the crowd at hand has which can be disastrous for a party. Our Houston wedding band performs all eras of music, including 50's for the older folks (Sinatra, light Motown, etc.), 60's,70's,80's,90's, to the new millennium and current dance. Our standard attire is black tux but we can wear costumes on request for Houston wedding receptions if desired.
